PGT Ministries, Margate is under the direction and leadership of a dynamic couple in the form of Pastors’ Desmond and Marlene Murray. Walking and working with unity and quiet strength, this couple is indeed a complement to each other. Their devotion to God, each other and the congregation they serve is easily seen by all. Each half of this ‘dynamic duo,’ allows the other to be all that they can be, by being supportive, kind and encouraging. They serve this ministry with humility, seeking nothing else than to do God’s will. Surely the sheep of this pasture are truly blessed to be shepherded by this couple. |

Pastor Desmond is a quiet, humble, unassuming person. However, this personality cannot quench the strength of character that has become his trademark. Any individual that crosses his path soon realizes that here was an individual whose ‘yea was yea and whose nay was nay.’ His word is his bond. He also has the ability to make every one feel special and at ease in his presence. He honors God in all his undertakings. As a husband, he takes first place; he has made it hard for the man who will one day capture his daughter’s heart, as that individual will have to ‘be like her Daddy.’ He leads by example, and everything he does, is done with love and compassion. He is one of the few individuals who can, and will, rebuke and chastise you, if necessary, and yet do it with such love that you do not even feel the ‘sting.’ |

| He is Pastor Marlene’s ‘knight in shining armor.’ He covers her and his belief in and support of her is unshakeable. He is a rock and a tower of strength and, in today’s society when people are so easily moved, it is a relief to be able to enjoy and depend on the strength of our ‘gentle shepherd.’ |

Pastor Marlene, the other half of the ‘Dynamic Duo,’ is a gracious and selfless individual when dealing with the business of ‘her King.’ There is no denying the power that drives this woman of God as she allows nothing to stand in her way when the Master’s business needs to be done. She challenges the women of PGTM to ‘come up higher.’ She has set a standard of excellence in service to God and her fellowman that is unsurpassed. She endeavors to live as she teaches, and also leads by example, never asking anyone to do what she was not willing to undertake. She has a Pastor’s heart; kind, caring, compassionate, giving and nurturing. It is her desire that every one comes to know God in a real and personal way. She will not abide foolish behavior especially when it concerns the house of God. It is indeed a blessing to be in her presence as she imparts nuggets of wisdom gleaned from the Word of God, her experiences and her training. |
Listening to her teach about God whets one’s appetite for more. She is a visionary and can see the ‘big picture or the finished product,’ in any situation. Pastor Marlene sees the individual not only for who or where they are at the moment, but as who and where they can be, with God’s help. Truly, she is a woman who fears God and, as the Word says, is a woman to be exemplified and praised. |

Whereas, on the twenty-forth
day of October, in the year of our Lord two thousand and four,
a proclamation was issued by the Pastors of the Pentecostal Gospel
Temple Ministries, Margate, Florida, containing, among other things,
the following, to wit:
That We will continue to feed
the flock of God which is among us, taking the oversight thereof,
not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of
a ready mind; (1 Peter 5:2)
That We will Be sober. That
We will be vigilant.
That We will do our very best to
put God first always, in praying, teaching, preaching and living
the example for you to follow.
That We will walk mindful every day
of the mission and vision of this local assembly as a part of
The Pentecostal Gospel Temple Family of churches, doing always
that which God has commanded.
That We will affirm every thing we
experience is truly a gift from God, including caring for you
the way He cares for each of us.
That We will choose everyday to be
your pastors, choose everyday to love you not just because of
but in spite of.
That We will stay intimate with God.
That We will guide you in your marriage
and family life by being Godly examples for you to pattern.
That We will represent you to the
community with Godly Character, so that you will not be ashamed.
That We will be courageous, honest
and purposeful in all our ministry dealings.
That We will not compromise the gospel
no matter how difficult the decision.
That We will stay pure in every way
and finish strong for the glory of God.
NOW, THEREFORE We, Doctors Desmond &
Marlene Murray, by virtue of the authority vested in us by the
Constitution and bylaws of Pentecostal Gospel Temple Ministries,
do hereby proclaim this day of October 24, 2004, to be Pastors
Covenant Day.
